Commission an illustration
Since 2015, I have drawn hundreds of custom illustrations for people, including childhood homes, family portraits, beloved pets, and more.

How it works
- Timing: Ideally 2 - 3 weeks (a 25% rush fee applies for 7 day or less). November and December book up quickly!
- Subjects: I can draw from photos, google streetview, or we can create a scene together. You don't need the exact photo.
- Style: Ink and watercolour on hot press 100% cotton paper.
- Sizing: 5x7, 8x10, or 11x14.
- Revisions: You get a review sketch first to make sure things are looking right. Multiple requested revisions may incur an additional fee.
- Framing: Framed illustrations are pick-up only. Pricing below.
- Payment: Payment is upon review sketch approval. No deposit necessary.
- Shipping/pick-up: Pick-up is from Sherbourne/Carlton in Toronto or unframed illustrations can be mailed. Regular mail is included, but tracking is $10 extra.
Pricing
Pricing depends on subject matter and colour. Standard pricing includes black ink, grey tones, and a single colour highlight. Extra or full colour is additional.
Starting prices include:
- 5x7: $75+tax (single building or two people.)
- Full colour add $50
- NOTE: This size does not accomodate houses/storefronts plus people--8x10 or 11x14 only.
- 8x10: $125+tax (single building or two people)
- Full colour add $75
- 11x14: $225+tax (single building or four people)
- Full colour add $100
Additional costs
Additional costs will be clearly discussed with you.
Common additions include adding extra pets ($15), extra people ($25), or including a storefront/house background to a people portrait ($50).
Reduced pricing
To keep my art accessible, I take one commission per month at 30% off my normal rate. This is a no questions asked scenario, so if this is you, don't hestiate to email me.
Prints
Want to get an original ink drawing for yourself, but give copies to friends and family? I can make prints of any illustration for an additional fee--just ask!
Framing
Frames are glass and include a white matte and black wood frame.
- 8x10 frame w/ 5x7 matte: $30
- 11x14 frame w/ 8x10 matte: $40
- Framed illustrations are pick-up only. However, if you have mobility concerns, please let me know.
